Homework

Thank you for your interest in your child's success!
  • Granger Elementary requires 20 minutes of reading and 10 minutes of math every day.
  • I will send home a reading log at the beginning of every week for students to keep track of their reading and answer comprehension questions. Students will turn in their reading log on Friday.
  • I will not be sending home any math assignments unless your student did not complete their math in class. If you want your students to have more math practice at home, please have them log into "clever" and complete their "i-ready my path" lessons. Instructions on how to log in are included in class links.

This means every week your student will bring home a reading log they will work on throughout the week and turn in at the end of each week. I will inform parents through ClassDojo if there is a week no homework is sent home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if we do not have books at home?
A: I have many interesting books in the classroom. Students are welcome to check out a book from me. Students can also log into "Clever" and access many books through "Sora." Students are also able to check out books from the school library throughout most of the year.
In addition, you are able to check out books for free from your local library in person or online.

ClassDojo if there is no homework during a certain week. If you are still unsure, feel free to double check with me through ClassDojo messaging.

Q: What if my child needs help with their math homework?
A: I'm always trying my best to help students with questions they do not understand but if you are looking for online resources, YouTube has many great videos explaining math concepts.
